The purpose of this website is to help you understand and know if your overpaying in your electric bill in the Central Illinois area (some areas may not apply). After you watch the video above and click on the link to see the rates in your area you will know if you are overpaying in your electric bill. This works for residential and commercial accounts. For commercial accounts please fill out the form below for more information on the commercial rates. How do I find out, how many cents per Kilowatt I am paying ?
Look for the line that says Electric Supply on your electric bill. Some may find that your Delivery company is different from your Electric Supplier. Then to the right you will find a @ sign followed by how many cents per Kilowatt.

Find the total Dollar amount on your Electric Supply line and divide by your Kilowatts used and it will equal how many cents per Kilowatt.
Total Dollar amount on the Electric Supply line ÷ Kilowatts used = Cents per Kilowatts
This is an example of a residential household using 1,200 Kilowatts at different rates.
1,200 kilowatts @ .0550 Cents per Kilowatt = $66 (ON THE ELECTRIC SUPPLY LINE)
1,200 kilowatts @ .0750 Cents per Kilowatt = $90 (ON THE ELECTRIC SUPPLY LINE)
1,200 kilowatts @ .0950 Cents per Kilowatt = $114 (ON THE ELECTRIC SUPPLY LINE)
1,200 kilowatts @ .1050 Cents per Kilowatt = $126 (ON THE ELECTRIC SUPPLY LINE)
This is an example of a commercial account using 10,000 Kilowatts at different rates.
10,000 kilowatts @ .0550 Cents per Kilowatt = $550 (ON THE ELECTRIC SUPPLY LINE)
10,000 kilowatts @ .0650 Cents per Kilowatt = $650 (ON THE ELECTRIC SUPPLY LINE)
10,000 kilowatts @ .0750 Cents per Kilowatt = $750 (ON THE ELECTRIC SUPPLY LINE)
